welcome to ore. redrocks is forgiving. ODLINS RD is not. The tank traps were put there for a good reason. I,m not trying to be dramatic, But i,m sure others will back me on this, its not a track you would do on your own, even 2 capable trucks is minimal, thats trucks with winchs ect. If you made it to the green hut you will see a memorial to a long standing (20 yrs)4x4 ccvc member who lost his life on the same track 3 yrs ago. Our club ( ccvc eric and jim) go in regulary with diggers to keep the track open. The council want to close it for safety reasons because, ill equipped people get into trouble around there and have to call for help. Which normaly means ringing home if you can get cell phone reception. Then is 50% of cases the police/rescue services are involved. Which ironically means that senior(qualified) people in our club are called out to assist. The moral of the story is odlins rd is a great track but the general public (I.E people who buy a 4x4 and think they know it all and can go/do anywhere/anything) #### it for the rest of us. We are loseing more and more tracks every year, mostly because of abuse by tossers who stray off the paths(churning up the ground/new plantations ect)that we are allowed on. Doc/councils (yes they may be nobodys who push keys on computors all day) but they hold the power if they say a road/track is shut thats it , its statistics to them and tossers with 4x4s are giving them the ammo they need. I revert to my first 3 words of my rant" welcome to ore" this is a club like any other. We learn from others.I,m 4yrs in the club now and we was away last weekend in rallywoods and i learnt loads and through this forum i learn more everyday. RANT OVER

P.S your welcome at rallywoods anytime just bring beer anything cold and wet will suffice
