Auto stuck in gear

I was driving into town yesterday and the safari seemed to be stuck in 2nd gear so i pulled over and checked everything i could think of and couldnt find anything. I carried on and it seemed to be sweet? has anyone had this problem and should i be worried about it?

Had this on another vehicle not a Saf, but check ya trans fluid,had lots of issues with mine doing crazy stuff,looked like there was enuf fluid on the dipstick but i put in 500ml more oil and presto all issues dissappered May not be the same thing and im sure fluid would have been the 1st thing u checked but ya never know.

remember to check your auto fluid level with the engine running and auto in neutral

yeah i checked the fluid, there was a only a cold line and was well above this but ill check it again cold and maybe a top up will stop it happening again. thanks for the help
