Just got my cert plate today :D :D after a very looong time, and the cert man was telling me that engine transplants done after 1st april 2008 need to past an emissions test and of course the bollocks 95dB noise test. Luckily mine was put in a year ago but did have to get an extra coby for the noise. Just thought i'd let you know to watch out when you change engines. :wink:

and have a cadallic converter after the 1st december... i really shud be out in the garage argh

yeah my cert is taking ages' almost 2 months now, how long can i be expecting?? need a wof but need a cert to get a wof!!!

phone your certifier and ask what the hold up is posibly has not sent in a form correctly, ask him for a temp cert plate (not sure if you can get this they do it for vehicles not already issued with # plates) :roll:

my cert plate only took a couple of days to get here. cert guy rechecked my vehicle on a thursday and he had the plate on the following tuesday.

yea mine took 6 weeks and so did a mates. I think some of the guys wait till they have a stack of them and send them all in one go. If you were the first of that stack could take ages if you were the last could take a few days
