hey guys, ill be keen if i get my truck back, by friday night, ive jsut compeletly rebuilt it!!! 4paws ull be isnanely impressed mate, u saw what i was like before adn now after mate!!! spent $6180 on it!!! does that give u a hitn of what itl b like??? only thing is i dont have fog lights on the top?? as if your at night you dotn want to submerge your driving lights as they will blow if they get water in them.... if i get my truck back ill be keen anyways, and jsut out of my knowledge, if you get locked in there is a way out of there, you follow the dirt road up or river and u take a turn off up at the farmers house mayb 8km up river from the boat ramp, mayb abit more u drive up the stop banks take a right at the T intersection, then take another right at the turn thatll head back towards the road, that should come at on a paved road called... tram road or something?? thatl take u back aroudn onto the main road....

Ok seeing as there are a few people interested, how about we say 7:30 (leave before 8 ) from the Bellfast pub. (Last pub just before the 100km motorway heading towards Rangi)

Will definitly look for gates and times.

Wont be aiming to drive in the river bed, there are plenty of 4x4 tracks in the trees area, hopefully some will contain mud (and probably some water)

Ken, go to Ecan offices (Kilmore St?), show your new shiny fishing license and pay a small deposit. They will then give you a fisherman's key to the gates.
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

Waimakariri River Regional Park

A reminder that the night gate hours will change to closing from 7pm to 10pm at the Waimakariri River Regional Park, coinciding with Daylight Savings.

Opening hours remain as posted

Also from Wednesday 1st Oct Angler access keys ( those numbered with a 1.5) will change
Those Anglers with these keys will need to exchange them at the ECan Town office, 58 Kilmore St, for ongoing access

Anybody else with a 1.5 key should have already been notified for an exchange. In the rare case you haven’t, please contact the ECan Parks Team, Greg Brynes on 353 9725

Should you know of any effected parties to the above information that you think may not have been informed, please pass the message to Darryn Haffenden, Environment Canterbury Regional Parks Ranger on 03 323 5342 Ext 9642.
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

Got a gate key, so all sorted.

I'll be at the Belfast Pub at 7:30 ready for a 7:45 leave time.

I'll have prs on channel 19. (if thats busy will start climbing through channels till I find a clear one)

Reminder, this is NOT an organised trip, this is purely 'Im going to be there, if anyone else wants to come'

Pete, it was rather high, hadnt effected any of the tracks we (I) went on. Did it alone, almost got stuck, lol, but got out with a few backs and forwards.
