Looking for a steering common link (the bit everything attaches to) Mine was bent. Took it off to swapo with one i have soursed ages ago only to find the size is different. The new one is thicker and longer so I assume it is off a wider track vitara - BUGGER.
Can these be cut and welded? It's not for road use but for the toy. Rules say I can modify the steering except for orbital and 4 wheel steer so I may just cut the thicker one down to size and get it welded if possible.
Still if someone has one I can buy that will save me the hassle.

This bit, mine is the slightly bent short one. It rubs on the front diff.

I wonder if I could just put it in the press at work and bend it straight? It's cast steel so not sure if that is an option.

Pressed the bend (a good one) out at work today, no probs so now I have a spare. Will think about cutting the other one down and making aheavy duty one when I get time.
