Get the numbers off them and look up what rates they are to see if they suit what you want.

You just wait, everyone will have mirror balls, smoke machines, & the three light system (Blue, Green, Red) in their trucks soon - its all about taking your 4x4 experience to the next level (and trying to do some cool new mod no one else has thought of yet  )

And that is the attitude that got them banned from some clubs in the first place  .

If you observe "tread lightly", there should be no need to dig holes at all on 36" tyres.

It doesn't matter what V8 or whay size tyres trucks run ,if they dont have the balls they are going nowhere.

With most people image is what counts when they are parked outside the supermarket.

Just look at the facts ,of what benifit is it to have a personalized plate or stickers on the truck. How does that make it perform better ?

Cheers Richard

I agree completely , with big tyres a person should walk a track without damage.

My self and Pat Pretty got the Nelson ruled changed so the trip leader determined tyre size ,so in the Nelson Club any size tyre is acceptable as long as the trip leader OKs it.
I have actually been invited on the Nelson trip to the coast next weekend even though I am running 35s.

I resigned for different reasons

groups of vehicles with very similar abilities is the key.. large or small.. in that way one vehicle doesnt inhibit or hinder others....

Never had to many problems being on my own [ done so for over 25 years ]you do have to be a little more careful, did a 4 month trip doing 4x4 tracks all around the SI last summer no hassles just be prepared..also a bit of training also helps..to many 4x4's spoils it for me,i do like the odd trip though and a bit of a yak every now and again..4x4ers are more than welcome to call in if over my way
ps i'm neither, joe gumby or a johny punchclock,i probably go 4x4ing a lot more than most,at least 2months solid every year not including days off..i've also done a couple of months in WA 4X4ing and off road motorcycling ..mostly on my own [ with long suffering partner ]

Everyone knows that by attaching a personalized plate and having heaps of stickers all over your truck makes it far more capable offroad :!: Rocks become afraid of you and crumble in insignificance under your wheels, mud bogs part to let you through (like Mosses and the Red Sea), and trees bow in front of you as you pass acknowledging your status as the bush master...

Or maybe its just a way of showing your personality... and even though my truck already had all those stickers over it when I got it there's no way I'm taking them off cause it says - "That's over the top - just like the driver!"

Hahahaha :!: Nice. perhaps you should mount the mirror ball under the body to spread the lights from your neons

On a more serious note, If you do some new mods Ben it would be good to see progress photos up here with a build thread, even if all done at once when they are finished. That's the exact reason I got involved on this site in the first place - to get inspired by you innovative engineers out there.

I have nothing against the shinys but do not vote out the big tyres you may get the bug one day and find your self out of the club because of a rule you helped vote in :?: :?:
