West Coast Easter 2009 (10-13 April) WESTPORT

Post by PR »

Ok then I have a few questions I would like answered before contuining forward with this event like:-

HOW MANY DAYS DO YOU WANT TO 4WD
ie. start and finish dates you will be on the coast

WHAT GRADES DO YOU WANT??????
1/2/3/4/5

AND IS THERE ANYONE THAT COULD HELP ME AS I AM WAY OUT OF MY DEPTH WITH THIS ONE?????????????

DAY ONE
I have spoken to Nuts and due to the shinnys that want to come we could run a combo trip up mount rochford and split the shinnys and hard cores to do seperate tracks up there! and then go through to the Mackley

DAY TWO (DEPENDING ON NUMBERS)
SHINNYS = 4 MILE
HARD CORE = TAILINGS

DAY THREE
BENNETS FARM (MUD MUD MUD)

DAY FOUR
REEFTON TUNNLES AND NEOPOLANS HILL FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO DO IT

ALL THE ABOVE IS SUBJECT TO WEATHER , NUMBERS AND TRACK REPAIRS BEFORE THEN

PR, may I suggest the following. Your shineys can do up to grade three easily enough. Then hard core can be 4&5. You need to ask for trip leaders to put trips together each day catering to those grades picking there own trips. Pick your dates but would use the first three days as the main trip days. Post up accomodation links and people can sort there own out. Some won't want to stay with the group and that's cool. Trips should be under way each way by 0930 at the latest, be firm on this otherwise those who are ready get pissed waiting for those that aren't. If dudes get pissed the nite before that's their problem. Set rules like trip leaders has final say on everything! Be `ready for anything and everything on the trip and keep cool. And always be safe. Happy to help you out when ever, but I don't know the Westport area so won't lead trips, but will offer to go TEC.

I think you city slickers have forgotten the proper term as described by Uncle Helen, we are

Feral Inbreds :D :D

As far as small towns and pubs go, we have more pubs per capita than any other district so us coasters willl see you at the bottom anytime. Small towns means one thing, all our 4wd tracks are closer to home
