Mounting Power Steer Reservoir

Post by H2OLOVA »

I have to shift the power steer reservoir in the Cruiser. What i need to know is will it matter if the reservoir outlet sits below the input of the pump, will the pump just suck the fluid through? or does it need the gravity thing? I'm guessing its the first option, but want to be sure before i stuff around finding somewhere for it to go.

Cheers in advance

I would say it should sit above the outlet as it will need the head of pressure to feed the power steer pump

No assumptions in this answer, nor any practical experience but...

Ive never seen one below the pump.

Must be something it that
Tim.
