Trans oil cooler LN130

Post by 42mac »

I have had to take radiator out for repaie can anyone tell me which trans line is the supply and which is the return line.so when I fit cooler in series I can get pipes rightway round.
I think the forward line on trans maybe out (ie supply to cooler),as this has a pressure? switch on it.

unplug both of the lines and put each hose into to a empty clear bottle. place bottles so as not to fall over or get cought on any moving pullys or belts. some body holding on to them is the better answer. start the motor and run for about 2 to 3 seconds. you will easiely be able to tell with is the trans output hose, mark this hose with red tape or similar, red for hot. i run my fluid thru trans cooler then thru the radiator, just personal oppinion others my have other ideas,

put radiator back in and ranup engine supply to cooler is the front pipe,I've put second cooler last in series cooler oil straight to trans that way.Timely job all the oil hoses on last legs full of cracks easier to replace now than on side of the road.
