They allow on vehicle length adjustment to correct steering wheel center and vehicle turning radius, the drag link is the steering linkage rod that connects to a pitman arm on the upper end, and a tie rod or knuckle on the lower end.

What are you trying to achieve?
what has already been done to your 4wd?
What other modofications do you want to do?
Are you going to keep it for a while?

An adjustable drag link would usualy be used if you keep making changes, are going for additional lift or just want a quick fix a new drag link can be made as a one piece to suit that height, you'll probably need an adjustable or longer torque rod too.

Crossover steering is a far better option (more expencive) technically both need to be certified but crossover will get rid of the bump steering and alow more front articulation (no requirement for the Torque rod), far more positive steering and lift everything out of the way but it depends if you want the look or the offroad ability.

All I am saying is you can spend the money elsewhere to work towards a final goal and I would suspect you should save to get crossover would be a better option.

Yes you can get more leaves up front or a bigger lift.
