Welly Christmas Kids party (Trip) - Dec

Post by Jerry »

Its "Xmas" soon so we may as well have a family styled trip, in Dec... How bout Mid Dec?

Where are we going? well its a nice shiny trip to visit Santa in his orange painted grotto in the not so north pole.

Come along and sit on Santa's knee (A Santa will be needed so I have set up a poll to determine who this will be :D , the lucky person chosen may receive a beer reward as well as a wet lap (from the excited kiddies) and broken legs.), Get your photo taken with Santa. If you don't believe in Santa then you need to harden up (concrete can be supplied)

BBQ Lunch, family friendly, optional mud if we get time. This will be a Day trip. no drinking and driving (bring a sober driver if you want a beer), No swearing etc around the kids please.

Presents: A present for the "Bigger" kids can be supplied for $5 per person, this will need to pe paid to Reece or myself in advance, for the little kids this can be supplied for the same price otherwise you will need to supply this. for supplied presents the secret present sub committee will be choosing these.

Trip costs are $15 (land access fees for the north pole), and add $5 Visitor Fee if you are not a NZFWDA Assn member to cover your day insurance in case we accidently run over Santa's expensive reindeer etc.

please remove my name from the list Jerry

you didn't discuss this with me and I personally think santa should be someone who doesn't have a child of thier own to be looking after on the day

Cheers

SKID

p.s. I would of voted for Gazza if you'd stuck his name up, or you coz you always have lots of sweeties for the kiddies

You know its now politically incorrect to say HoHoHo, as it might offend the solo mothers out there,, saw it in the paper a while ago...

Can we still vote for Gazza???

going out on a limb here and judging by the fact that you have bumped it twice in 2 weeks and nobody replied, I would say that theres no interest in this one Jerry.

folks probably have lots on during the month of December and theres always the xmas/new years thing at RW if they are getting withdrawal symptoms.

I know most of my weekends are booked between now and xmas, so I dare say others are the same.

Good thought though, maybe next time.

I am taking my team around the South Coast next week (weather permitting) for a BBQ so will have to wave at the Beer Bach (mmmm beeeeeeer) as we drive past :) Also assuming the coast is in decent enough condition for non4x4 drivers to get around too.. It would be an interesting sight filling my 40 with 8 people :)

What about a Post Xmas Xmas do when more people have hols and gives us week days as well as weekends possibly?

I need to be more explicit with you reading the forums I think and if you _ever_ make it to Rallywoods please do say hello then I can put a face to the nick :)

The vehicles going round the coast will be 4x4 (Hilux, Cruiser, possibly Pajero) just some of the participants have not been offroad much (which is why they suggested the trip (we did some quad biking earlier this year which went down a treat - 4x4 round the coast will something new and different for them). Saying that, I still think it will be interesting watching them cross devils gate whatever vehicle they have. I am considering doing a couple of trips over it and letting some of the team drive it in my 40 (under close supervision etc etc etc).

Would you like to bring your 80 around and give us some driving lessons? I understand you used to have a 40 but sold it for some reason :)
