Hi Guys
I have a 1994 g16b vitara, It runs mint but when cruising along at say 50k in 5th gear if I am not accelerating and not letting it engine brake just keeping a constant speed it judders, Has anyone had this or know what would be causing it?. But runs absolutely mint otherwise
Vitara spluttering problem

Re: Vitara spluttering problem
I doubt there is many suzukis out there that will pull 50 kph in 5th gear smoothly . It usually indicates an ignition breakdown issue as Heath has pointed at . But if its ok at say 70kph and above its fine . Just drive it

Maybe some moisture repelant also?
Re: Vitara spluttering problem
is it definately a mis-fire, or could it be a 'judder'??
with you saying 50k's in 5th and with no 'load' on the engine, could it be your engine mounts etc?? had this kind of fault before where a guy replaced 100's of bucks worth of ignition stuff, flushed the fuel system etc and then i found the engine mount was loose. tightened it up again - problem cured
just a different idea before spending a fortune

Its better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
