Seem to be hard to come by. Anyone have one or know where I may find one?
Just to clarify, this is a '94 Nissan Safari with chassis number Y60 (aka GQ) and a 4.2L TB42 petrol engine. The starter motor is attached with only 2 bolts, not the 3 that a TD42 diesel is attached with. It's also only 12V.

I think MUDHOG 4X4 winch team in auckland run a petrol safari motor and have been known to have a few spare engines
they may have what you're after

Could try Jamie at Automotive Parts Rangiora Ltd on 03 313 7216 - He seems to be starting to specialise in wrecking Nissans more and more.

it might be a POS submarine but its better than your 4wd at the moment
