look thru lots of threads on 40 builds and your answers will come
look for wopass, mnc, niblik, and theres probably shiteloads more than I can't remember right now
I used a toyota crown/cressida box on mine, but can't remember the little things that made it work, so some of these other guys may be of more assisatance to ya
have fun

pm BIG GREEN 40 for some info. he and i did power steer and a spoa on his 40. we wreked out a 60 series and took the whole steering setup from the wheel, steering collum etc right through to the steering box. from memory we took off that stupid idler at the front and drilled a few new holes through the chassie back colser to the diff. we did have the advantage that we were doing the spoa the same time so the steering only had to be sorted once. cause you will have to change it when you do spring over.
