3.8 V6 into diesel Hi Lux

Anyone out there have any ideas on replacing the 2.4 diesel with a 3.8 V6. Have priced adaptor kit from Marks adaptors and was quoted about $6000.00. If anyone has any ideas on how to do this conversion cheaper I'd be keen to hear your ideas

Hi I think alot of people keep the commie/GM auto Th400 or whatever they are called and get a adapter made to bolt the hilux transfer case to the commie gearbox.

you can have my 3.8 commy motor , auto , and adaptor its a sreies 2 motor with 98000km and has a plug and play loom for $2200 all you need to do is weld in new engine mounts

Apart from what you can supply what extras will I need to do complete conversion ie speedo, rev counter. Will I need new exhaust pipe, raidator, heater hoses etc etc I'm no mechanic so be gentle

you wont need to do the speedo , it has a exsaust , i am running the standard radatior with some big fans and yea I had to change the heater and put in after market rev counter , oil pressure and temp guages but its not hard to do pitty your not in chch then we could have done it for you

Try these guys, i got all the parts i needed for my manual convertion on my comie motor to hilux box from them recently and was alot cheaper than marks, all parts seemed of excelant quality. Just got it running friday seems to all work well.
