Took the VX down the Selwyn. Didn't do too bad considering it's running geolanders. No water up there but it's still pretty soft.

I caught up with meatc on Weds, called in on my way back from kaitaia.

Spend Sat stripping the carpet out of the Pajero and waterbasting the 4 litres of deisel the prevous owner had spilt under the drivers seat, many many litres of water and a couple of dishwashing liquid bottles later the smell is finally gone.

knocked up a set of drawers for the recovery gear (and the more inportant fridge) reather than having them roll around in the back of the truck like they normally are

Sunday caught up with Coxsy and his wife and had a quick coffee with them, really nice to put names to faces :D :D :D

Saturday put my new clutch on the replacement engine and tryed taking dents out of the sump it came with. i got it all back in the hole. hooked up all the wiring loom and found out i had ripped a plug off when taking it out... bugger. Next weekend put the shiney new radiator in, hook up all the hoses, and start her up and hopefully will go beautifully. :D :D .

Very exciting then i can go to the northern christmas thingee on 6th & 7th, with hopefully no niggly bits i've missed or put back wrong.

We went to the club grounds and took people around for rides as part of Thyme Festival. Afterwards we went and looked at a hole that I had cleared of trees a few weeks ago - water level has dropped, give it a go. No go, water and silt all through the carpet and doors while waiting to be pulled out...

Just spent the last three hours stripping out the seats/carpet and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. Looks good. Now wait for everything to dry and it has just started to rain...
