The stuff's called "Flintkote" and is sold as a building waterproofing sealer
Miter10 have 4L buckets for $27
Pretty certain this is the same stuff just a different name, bituman emulshin, looks, smells and sets like underseal and at this price...well?

I've got a 10L bucket of flintkote, left over from when I did grafting in the vineyards, must try it on the truck

We use flintcote for the very same purpose...

well the new equivalent of it as "Flintcote" isn't made anymore.
Great sealer, original purpose was to seal concrete retaining walls, watertanks etc. Doesn't set, it dries to a very firm rubbery finish, sticks to absolutely everything too.

Had a read of the container at work today. Recommended for use on concrete, plaster, wood and metal, dries to a stong flexible finish
