Brakes thingies (which should just be checking the pistons thingies are ok, new pads thingies, new fluid and a good bleed.
Drivers seatbelt thingy (may just need some crc on the mechinism thingy ).
Mudflap thingy (which is in a box of bits and thingies it came with I think).

Drivers seatbelt (may just need some crc on the mechinism).

Before you go spraying CRC in there.....(seat belt mechanisms shouldn't need lubricating)
If the wagon has had muddy water through it then you may find the workings have got mud in them. (speaking from my own experience, have had to deal with this several times now). Seeing the wagon hasn't seen any action for some time this mud should be nice and dry now and easy to remove with a bit of shaking, tapping and maybe some compressed air. However spray CRC in there and you might have yourself one sticky mess to try and get out.
Don't know if you have ever had one apart, but there is usually a little ball bearing in there which if not sitting in its seat (car on an angle or on its roof) will not let the seatbelt out. Dried up mud and dirt could also prevent the ball from sitting in its seat or not allow the little cams which lock and unlock the reel from moving properly stopping the belt from locking up when you pull on it or preventing it from rolling out.

Suppose I'd better update this.....

Well it came back from the sparky a week or 3 back with the urgent stuff fixed.....will be going back there for more work (I need to drive it and find out whats faulty etc...

I pulled the dash apart again and did some more tidyup

had a good look at the stereo "loom" as well

found 3 wires in there, one badly melted

will need to run another clean live feed for the stereo and radio's
Pulled out the existing locker wiring loom

wired in new ARB loom and compressor and locker switch, and fitted the compressor under the bonnet. just need to fit the airline and the power wire and dash light wire (when I figure out where to connect these to.

will do a tidy up for now, but I will need to pull the whole dash apart and have a good look around (when my new garage is up obviously

Ok if skiddys going out on a limb then so am i. I,m an ex british aerospace engineer. Personally the bars i,m looking at on the pics are %110 there tight and follow the body. I would put my name to them if i had built them and i take pride in my work. Ok i cant see the welds blah but in the pics they suffice there needs. My onlt critisism is the fact the rear bars slope upwards to the rear. I would cage it with the bars at least 10 degrees sloping down makes for strength and practicality

yeah they are ugly but they offer protection on the rear quarter where all the 70's seem to get the dreaded taillight dent, the barwork might save a few smashed taillights too.

The pos came with the rear bar already setup for the pintle, pintles are ok if they are mounted properly, may as well reuse existing bar and save $$$$.

Figured out why the pos was running rough and not idling

had a look at the throttle body and cleaned this out, tiny bit better, then inwestigated all the vacuum tubes around the motor.....

Found this off

plugged it back in and its purring , no idea why it came off....a cable tie or small hose clamp will sort out that. This one connects up to the link.
