Hi ya all,
Just put the 3.9 auto into the Landy on the weekend. Turns out the front drive shaft is now 2 inches to short. Anybody know why this would be after the old rangie manual bolted straight up with the origional one? So next question where in welly can i find a front driveshaft for a 3.9 auto transmission that would be two inches longer than the one i have now (roughly 640mm need roughly 690ish)
As for an update. well the girl is definitly a lot slower with the auto in (gears might have been changing to quick though, so a little tuning on that front is needed). Might have to keep an eye out for a 5 speed to go in sometime.
any help is appreciated.
cheers
mike

I changed mine to an lt230
The viscous are ok but the coupling is very expensive should it seize and crap out
LT's have a better range of ratio as well depending on what vehical you get it from
