zuks first outing

Post by moonhopper »

Well we had replaced the waterpump and decided to take the truck out for it's first play, It's still not quite finished but enough is done to take the toy for a spin, so it was of to Guppy road on Sat arvo, Weemsy had the camera and a tow rope to get me there. So after a short road trip we got to the river and it was time to get the trucks toes wet

and since it didnt die i decided to go the whole hog

so we started to have a play around and see what it would do, tested the flex and was quite suprisedImageImage
had to have the obligotory posser shotImage
and even got to test the rear tow hooks by pulling out the MU

all in all it was a good first outing, a couple of things to tweak, and put in the rear welded diff tommorow and then its play time. Cheers Wemsy, great day

will get that diff done before the weekend then maybe go play again ay?

oh, and sorry for ripping your front hook off

Nah that's the new financially adjusted ford falcon/Holden commodore/nissand skyline. Seems with the credit crunch the car manufactureres got to gether and are just making one car and putting their badges on it. :D

that was the original moonhopper built by dan cowper, resurrected by tony. Thanks to a certain ginger successfully managing to sell me a new motor and also my over enthusiastic personality, its now being completely rebuilt much lower, lighter, faster and cooler than before 8)
