That sounds way off, I get 500+ k's from a tank in my 95 2.0v6 Vitara around town and I don't drive it with economy in mind. the tank holds about 60l. the thing does drink the gas off road in low range :D .

I get 450Ks - 500Ks on my road tyres (215/75R15 on alloys) and around 250 - 300Ks on my 30x9.5R15 mud tyres on steel rims. Mine is a '93 1600cc 16Valve. Dont forget if you have lots of heavy accesories attached then this will hurt consumption as well!

my 31" muddies are my only tyres at the min, my truck looked stupid with 195/15's on after it got lifted:lol:

ive noticed the fuel consumption has gone up a bit, but i still get about 400k to a tank full. mines a 5 door and ive got bars etc on it too.

The early 3-doors only have a 36 litre tank, so don't expect great range. (And once they've been offroad they usually shrink to about 30 litres after the bottom of the tank is well and truly stoved in.)

With 31's on an 8-valve EFi manual, I get about 250-300kms, The big rubber sucks a LOT more fuel with the little motor.

Of course, if I was overly concerned with fuel economy I would not drive a 4WD with big rubber. As far as I'm concerned I'd rather spend a little more on gas than faff around with swapping tyres every weekend.

my 94 1.6 inj 16v 3dr is shocking on fuel is only used off road and short drives from home to the bush or river 8k max , off road it is no worse on fuel than my v6 paj which is pretty bad.

My is a 94 1.6inj 16 3dr too. It has a 36litre tank and I'm getting 350k's out of her on city drives. Has anyone do a tank swap to a bigger capacity?

Yea I can attest to that too. Took just two trips to get it on a nice angle. But even before then I too was only getting at the most 200km per tank. even when i drove it nice it still didn't help, but bear in mind I have the 8V, single carb 1600 motor in it. every thing else is standard.
