I'm a recreational/not hard out 4WD girlie, I usually hang out with a small 4WD club in Canterbury who do a lot of social trips which is right in my line of things, although due to financial constraints there hasn't been anything much in the way of trips for us in the past 18 months.
My Prado is bog standard which suits me just fine as it is my only vehicle so has to cover a lot of roles from daily driving to carting the children around with their pamphlet deliveries and paraphenalia (sp?) to heading up the river for a swim or a day out in peace and quiet with my lovely bloke who is fully into the outdoor lifestyle. He is teaching the kids bushcraft and stuff as he was in the army and comes from a farm background, but even so we still like to have our comforts when we go camping out! I'm too much of a softie for the hard stuff (unless it's alcoholic hard stuff of course...)
We are an outdoorsy family, I grew up 4WDing and have continued the tradition with my kids and hopefully they will do the same. I live in a rural area near a town and close to some of North Canterbury's finest rivers which is my idea of paradise! I joke to the kids that they are growing up country bumpkins and it's getting so that going to the big smoke (Chch) is exciting 'cause they get to see real life traffic lights

I know some of the guys on here from a previous incarnation, it's interesting to keep up with the tech stuff you guys do even though I'm no longer involved in the club I was in for 20 something years I value the photos and info re the modifications to vehicles, they are really interesting thanks!
