Stage 1 V8 Radiator Thingy

Hello Chaps.
I got my radiator recored and the guys did a nice job. except when i removed the radiator there was a wire that connected to the left side tank (left when standing at front of vehicle looking at it) which my guess must have been a sensor for something. its just that the shop hasnt put the original bung thing back in so i cant connect this wire back up.

Whats it for and is it important?

my guess wold be for your electric fans or temp guage
but thats a guess

Because yours is Military Stage 1 Its for the push button check system its the low water level sensor
