Took eleven vehicles up the Te Aroha side today

Dry and dusty - wish I had left my all terrains on :D

They got to the top at 6pm after doing 2 major recoveries of vehicles that had been abandoned on the KatiKati side :shock:

They drove down to the Te Aroha side :D

No pics - but was the same as every other dry Thompsons track pics - just under an hour to the top :D

went for a we play on the bike this morning and there is a digger and bulldozer heading to katikati, maybe a shinney trip on the cards :D

Hi Tin Tin,Do you mean they were up the Te Aroha side working their way over to Katikati ,or are they working the other way ,hopefully they will sort out the bomb site especially all the crap thats been thrown in ..

yeah, Bop club did a working bee up there last week, sand bagging etc, a couple members up there today putting in concrete culvets etc, and of course a bully and digger.

only stuck my nose over the kati side today , didn,t want too get in the way, a couple days for the repairs to harden be good.
was a repair right at summit, and i drove into it before i realised how soft it was.

but yeah a shiny trip up and over be kool after a week or so of dry weather

they have only done up to finger rock, all the big holes are still there
they will be back in the new year hopefully
