Having thoughts for my off road set for the Rangie
Is an early Rangie and I have my sights on Simex centepede's" (have used or seen the others and Im not interested)
Issues.........
Will/has a 2" susp lift, no body lift, ARB locker in the rear. Guards are all dented so quite happy to hack them to fit a bigger tyre. Rangies reknown for weak axles etc. Bigger the footprint more traction - more likely to break something.
Now for soft option go 32 x 9.5 x 15. little body mods, only 1.5"diff clearence difference from a 35" (without taking physical diameter measurement into account as written size varies to actual size)
2nd option 33 x 10.5 x 15, down to 1" less diff clearence to a 35 but the bigger footprint is more stress on drive train.
35" not really going to consider unless the 6 lotto balls shine down on me so I can afford maxi drives..........
May sound trivial to some and others will say buy a Nissan/hilux, but Im interesed in different opinions as Im sticking with this particular heap for now.
Is going to be used for safari's/club competitions for now.........a year or two down the track it will hopefully make a transition to fully blown winch challenge truck but until then it is a daily driver and weekend toy
I await your thoughts/smart arse comments

cheers
Rex
