Hey there Aaron,

Those I-snooze-zoo's rock, like Moo's on crack!!

I was looking at buying one a few years ago but got put off by other people (and the price). Always wished I ignored that advise and got one. I still reacon they are great looking even if they are getting a bit long in the tooth, bit like me really!

Some of the upcoming trips might be a bit hard on your rigg, I presume you still want to keep it fairly straight but you can always jump in with someone else.

A few of us tend to go around the South Coast on a fairly regular basis, keep your eyes open and head on around with us.

This site is fairly easy on newcomers, just remember;
- Take advise from those that say the least!
- You can't get pulled out of the soft stuff unless you have hooks, the rest will work it self out

Whoa just remembered i made this thread! nearly a year ago!

Anyway might as well do a little update.
Since my first pics are all of it when i got it, Stock and not very high!.

Decided the mod id do first is lift it,
Here we are with stock wheels, But lifted with Ome912 springs and a T bar crank and ball joint flip.
Image

Much more clearance in the wheel wells now.

Image
Image

Not long after i got it lifted, I Didnt overly like the look of it, Looked quite narrow so i changed the rims over to my new 16x8 0 Offset wheels and it looked much better.
But sadly it still looked didnt overly look how i wanted it to.

Few months later was getting a wof and my mechanic noted to me how noisy my tires were and to be honest pretty worn, even the rubber was perishing, (little cracks in the tread).
So decided if i was gonna get some new tires id go a bit bigger.

Searched on my vehicross forum for ages tryna decide a tire that wont be too big or be a hassle for everyday driving.

Then i noticed a fellow Vehicross owner in the Uk had recently added mud tyres to his Vx and did a lift, So in someways i copied him and went with the same size Tire whch is 265/75/16

Heres 2 pics of his Vehicross.

And finaly heres my Vx with the new tyres in the Infamous carport photos.

Image

My next mod was to get rid of the Cat Converter.
Its a tad louder without it, Only problem now is the stock muffler you can hear rattling a bit at higher revs but it will be replaced later. with a better and louder one.
Image
Image

Few months after doing the cat converter, i wanted a towbar,
Quite a few of the vehicross owners in the states had a custom hitch made that is half hidden inside the rear cladding.
I got the plans for it and was off to the engineers.
Rear x-member strengthened as it looked really weak and most likely was!
Image

Not too far down the track, I was after some tow hooks, After a member off the Isuzu forum told me to check out Wellington Tow Bar Services, I popped in there and ended up meeting some really good guys, who built some choice tow hook brackets etc.

Image
Image

About a month or so after i got the hooks done.

I went on my first 4x4 trip which Taz invited me along onto and ended up meeting more awesome people and seeing there 4x4s
Also learning how to do the tires, and having my first drive on sand,Which i must admit is quite fun but freaky for the first bit.

Image

Image

Heres a random flex shot when i was at the beach awhile ago.
Image

Thats about it for me so far!.

In a couple of weeks and ill have the muffler replaced with a better one and the VX will have a nice growl to it.

And of course one of the mods i look forward to installing is a Uhf Cb radio

Sorry about all the pics i couldnt resist.
Cheers
Aaron. :D
