I dont know why I say this every time but. (and this is for everyone)

STAY OUT OF THE RANGE! The signs etc are there to protect both you and your vehicle. There are sharp bits of steel in the sand that will rip up your tyres and any one who happens apon them. There is unexploded ordnance out there (why do you think the council and all the do gooders let the range stay where it is? Because it is too costly to remove everything and then who would certify it as clear? If you must play in the dunes stay to the west of the big dune. Yeah I know its great fun to drive down which is why it is erroding really fast, but the west side of the dune is used less and will be safer (if anywhere in a bombing range can be considered safer) and if you happen to find anything dont touch it. Leave it where it is, as some stuff although it looks harmless enough will still remove a hand or whatever if treated wrongly.

Just trust me on this after all some of the stuff out there is stuff I put there, both explosive and sharp fragments. All care is taken to ensure total destruction of any explosive but when it goes bang you never know if it all goes or some gets blown somewhere else.

An attitude like that gets my offer of free springs revoked before its given .

This is a public forum and people blatantly going where they are not ment to go does not help our cause at all . I can see Heath may have been a bit strong in his reply , as possibly myself , but its in the overall interest of the 4wd community etc etc etc

As you were and back to the parts hunt

From the initial post it didnt appear that you had permission. I appologise if my post seemed strong but having chased a few people out of the area when we are doing major activities (safe distance being in the KM's not just meters) and having seen the damage these little trinkets can do I didnt feel a "softly softly approach" was adequate, death and maiming being irreversible. If you are allowed in there with a permit, thats great (lucky bugger I might add) but your initial post gives the impression that the range was okay to play in. My message wasnt only aimed for you but for anyone else reading. Maybe I shouldve made that clearer. I have ammended my initial post.

Good luck in your parts search.
