Howzit From Steve...

Post by Steve... »

Hi all I'm Steve

I've just brought an 86 Daihatsu Rocky F75 2.8l Diesel, to do up but also own a 93 surf,
im from Burnham just out of chch an have got into 4wding so i dont have to walk so far to go hunting
first up for the rocky is to upgrade the suspension as its a bit stuffed an to lift the body a bit so i can run it on 16's
then it will be new Tyres', havnt really planned anything else from there probably get rid of the rust it!!!

hope you guys dont mind me asking questions coz i can see myself doing that alot on here just from the few things ive read sounds like this is the centre of knowledge for 4wding an upgrades

Cheers Steve

Yeah, welcome aboard Steve.

Gotta ask, why 16's? 15" wheels and tyresare much easier to get and cheaper usually. If you just want the size/height you can get it from taller tyres.

Or am I missing something?

Hey Steve, there's a young guy in the engineering section down at Burnham who's just moved down from up north. If you keep your eyes open for a red hilux D/cab 4wd (about 1986) you should catch up with him.

He's getting into the 4WD thing and has a MWB cruiser (I think) for a mud-chucker. I know he should be keen to get out and have some fun.

So what do you do in the army?
