Got a spare set of 7inch rims under the house looking at getting some 33x12.5 mud tyres what are the chances of getting them on and having them stay on or is that a really stupid question Cheers Luke.
Even though the tyre manufacture gurus frown upon it, a lot of the 4wd guys run this combo. It give greater side pressure between bead and rim apparently. This means the tyres dont de-bead (pop inwards) at low pressures.
As said above thay should stay on better at lower psi but depending on your tyre profile and design the skinny rims might make the truck drive on the side walls of the tyre as well as where the tread is.It might have been buckshots which i seen do it. I would think they would be more susceptible to cuts etc maybe. The tyres usually have a recommended wheel width stamped on the sidewall too so see what it says. mine say ,fit to 10 inch rim only'. So I dunno...thats my 2c worth anyways.
Cheers guys. Will see how they go, outlaying the foldies for tyres tomorrow and takem for a thrash up woodhill on saturday hope it rains a bit more this week then fines up for the weekend .
Yeah shes running 16 inch A/Ts for on the road, so the M/Ts will be for playing just have to remember to adjust my driving style when on road with them.
