rocker arm failure

rocker arm failure

hi does anyone have any ideas on why a rocker arm would break?
i had timing belt and cam belt done about 300kms ago since then blowing lots of black smoke on acceleration and gutless as.

Sounds to me as If the cam timing has been set incorrectly and the pistons have hit the valves. The 2.5 mitzys are designed so that the rockers/pedestals break when this happens. If you payed to have the timing belt done take it back.
