Hey all, just looking for some hilux diffs and not sure what ratio is the best to go with. running 35's. whats better? 4.5, 4.8 or 5.29?
And how do you find out what ratio your diffs are?

i found some cheap diffs, hilux 4.5 front and rear. would they be any good?

What vehicle? what motor? A bit of information would make it easier for guys to make suggestions.
I have 4.88 diffs in my surf with a 2.8 straight six motor running 35's. I think it is still too high in the gearing

as a side note, most of the trials guys run 4.8s, there are a few who run up to 5.7s and a couple in between who go down to 3.7s.
its dependent on a whole bunch of other stuff dude
and so on and so on
help us out with a little more info and watch the comments fly

so I would say that you may wanna try and get 4.8s, they are harder to find, but would probably be better gearing for what you are going to do, which is similar to what a lot of trials guys are running. PM MrO to see what ratio he got, as hes running 36s I think.
