samurai clutch problem

well when i last went out for a play we were going threw alot of mud i mean playing for a few hours in a big bog and the clutch pedle started to get hard to push and the clutch wouldnt engage and let it out of gear, which gave me a lil prob when it came to the next hazard on our club champs first gear all the way yay:p anyways took got the truck parked next to my other project was a hell of a tight fit i must say.

then jacked it up on jackstands pulled the gearbox out which was a mission in itself just didnt wana come out so i have a bit of a wresle with it and finally it came out no need for a jack to get it down with just brute force cus its so light for a gearbox, gota love the zukes. thentryed the release bearing it was a bit stuborn not sure if is should do this but it needed a jiggle about to get it to go in and out it needed presure on it to get it back in anyways heres a pic

then took the clutch out had alot of mud in it which id say could have been make the clutch do what it did.

then cleaned the gbox all up

in the process i found the front d shaft flange bolt was loose really loose and i had been getting alot of vibration when in 4wd last run.

I'd guess the release bearing. get a new one or grease it while you can get to it easy. Remove any rust from the splines etc, grease and put together. It should move smooth and easy.

thanks health i regreases the lot and it now works like a treat the clutch plate i think its what its called is a bit worn so might be needing a new clutch soon anyways.

Keep a eye on the piece of alloy that the release bearing slides back and forth on.
Was running a super heavy duty clutch in mine and it wore the alloy down on one side and was letting the release bearing twist to one side which made it bind up
