roof racks wanted

Post by hosehustler »

need a pair of gutter mounted roof racks suitable for carrying a light load, any condition, prefer cheap and old (to match the car)as they are going on to my shitter charade to carry a waveski down to the beach (yes it makes it the required 3km), prefer in Christchurch.
cheers

I might be able to help you out there Tim, I'll see if I can track them down. They are light weight things, for skis etc. I was contemplating fitting to the cruiser for carting boards etc but, they will loose strength when extended out to cruiser width and then put weight up there.

If any one has a sturdy set for reasonable price I'd be interested. "prefer cheap and old [and strong] (to match the car)"
Sold my 1985, BJ74 MWB Landcruiser, rear locker, 33" MTs, snorkel, PTO winch, solid bars all round, spotties, AM CB etc.
Now just a 1994, 1kz Surf, pretty standard.

Ahh checked on them and discovered they were left in the North Island last week. (were left there last Jan and were meant to come back this year) Should be able to get them here in March if that's not too late.
