plasma cutter??

Post by gary_in_nz »

whats a reasonable plasma cutter to pick up for work at home??

gotta be single phase. i only really need to cut up to 12mm mild steel. its just going to be for modding a couple of trucks and bits here and there. (trimming guards, making bash plates, winch/bull bars etc...) sort of looking at getting a few tools together while i still have a job :( (things are looking bad in the sawmilling industry at the moment)
Cheers fellas.

I got a 60a Mitech job. Probably no good for commercial use, but I have used it a lot. Will cut up to 20mm thick and consumables are cheap as ($5 per tip). Machine was good price as well at $1200.
Once you have used a plasma, you will not want to go back to shagging about with grinders and saws or gas axe.
