My transfer case gear selector wont move properly and I wondered if there was a common fault with these or if they can be split off the back of the gear box to work on them?

Anyone have a lot to do with Vit gearbox/tcases?

They can be split off but you have to lift the selector housing for the gearbox to do it . may be easier to drop the whole thing out . Have you pulled the selector out and had a look down there to see if there is anything floating around ?

Ps could do a god deal on a 5sp box and t/case
be faster than pulling it apart . Open to offers as its not mine . WIll go on Tard me soon

PM me a rediculously low number and I'll argue a little and then say yes. Need to get that broken rear axle off you to for a slide hammer yet.
I took the selector apart and it only moves on the 2-4wd side and only just so I think something has jammed in side the tcase. I really dont want the hassles of doing the gearbox again, aslthough it may be easier than just the tcase.
