after my new purcahe of a 1976 fj40 im looking at doing a spring ova conversion and am wondering if anyone has done this before and has any phtots of what things haved workd and the purch plates that they have made
any information and lite that can be shed would be of great help

yea im in chch i have all the tool to make what ever needs to be made but its always easyer if u have aq picture in mind about what its spose to look like at the end

Yea i have done one or two bit more to it than anyone will let on im only to happy to help if your still keen on doing it

wicked im more than keen to do it its good cause with teh roof being removable as with the roll bar i should still be able to get it in and out of the garage,
my boss did one on his suzuki so i well aware that its not just a case of unbolt and move then rebolt thats half the fun in it
and any help on the matter is muchly appracaited

Ill dig up some photos can i email them to you its easyer than trying to put pics on here i machined up my own drag link tie rod and used snakeracing heavduty ball joints machined my own histeer arms from 60mm plate and used 60 series power steer box i did however gane alot of height and thats not a good thing unless your just out to impress the boys down the road as the higher you go the easier it falls over i fited 60series diffs theyr 60mm wider than the 40s that helped lots

i new it would go high and im used to tippy trucks the hilux was bad for it i will keep my eyes open for sum 60s diffs then and email is brassman71@hotmail.com

its a pity you diddnt post sooner as i just sold my complete 60 series diffs set up for the 40 all sprung over and strengthened with 30 spline longfield axles and cv's in the front bigger 4 pot callipers, ln 130 vented rotors with lsd in front and lockright rear with springs and high steer set up etc etc etc and new rear brakes etc etc etc
