Correction too, 9am start (not 10am) which I would say scrutineering at 8.30am. Entry fee is $20 not $5. Is only about 15mins from the bombays

Thanks

I had thought it a late start and too cheap - actually now $10 entry fee

am updating website now

Courses also set for A class - standard club 4wd's - ie you shouldn't be able to get into trouble unless you are seriously stupid

I'm gonna have to miss this one too ... :(

I haven't had time to do my roll hoop yet in the Mu.

Q - if I refit the fibreglass top, is it then not an open vehicle any more? Meaning I don't need a cage??

Cheers,

Matt

Correct Matt.

I stand to be corrected here, but the comments about you requireing a main hoop and rear stays in your MU was more in relation to the interclub fun series thats being started up.

I would slap the fibreglass top on and bring it out for a skid on sunday, the Thames round was awesome last year, a really kool property!!!!!

See the rest of you there :D

Hmmm

I definately remember being told that I needed it "for the next round" which I took to mean the next Laurie.
I don't fancy a four hour drive to be told I can't play.

Might need some help on this one but i understood A and A+ class required a hoop and back stays minimum in soft tops, B and C class needed minimum of 6 point due to the different hazards from A, if i was a scruitineer i would class a fibreglass top as a soft top but the vehicle in question is non road legel from memory, i dont think anyone would be turned away but maybe restricted to the hazards driven, not sure if there is an actual list of rules for the Laurie Sanson, i have never seen one just picked it up along the way, the Thames vs Counties interclub requires a minimum of a 6 point cage in all competing vehicles with a minimum of a 4 point harness.

I spoke earlier to John Swainson and he confirmed the above - sort of..

As the Mu has a steel roof with factory reinforcing and A posts, and doors etc the body is basically standard. The fibreglass rear tailgate is pretty irrelevent. He is happy for me to run in A+ but apparantly I won't score any points.

I am happy to just have some fun and a good day out. As I am bringing my eldest boy as co-driver too maybe the A lines will be best all round :D

See you all tommorow - off to bed now as I have to get up at 5!!

I had to run as soon as I finished the last hazard - will the scores be posted anywhere?

Cheers for a great day out :D
