Stadia / Thompsons

Post by monstr »

Ok so rathaer than completely hi jacking Dieselboys thread ,thought i would start this .
The plan is to be at the Stadia gate at 8.30 ish on Sat 11th April ,spend the day in Stadia playing then go through to either the Te Aroha motor camp ( or any other suggestions) Sunday morning (early) drive around to Katikati and come through Thompsons to Te Aroha ,stay the night ,clean trucks etc drive home and hopefully beat most of the traffic ,If your keen let me know ..Steve

Ps i would rather limit the numbers going through Thompsons to a max 6-7 trucks all must have winches and normal recovery gear ,Stadia doesnt matter so much it could include shinney through to whatever ,as if it gets to bad they can park up and watch the others making fools of them selves..

If you guys want to do Waitawheta instead of Thompsons ,it would mean doing stadia on the Friday and Waitawheta on the Sat as it would be nice to have a extra day up yous sleeves in case it turns to crap in Waitawheta (as it some time does) ..Steve

I'd come up on Thurs night with the intention of getting as much wheeling as possible  as you say Steve, a day just incase would be good. Whereabouts is the track at Waitawherevevathefawkitis?, for that matter, wheres the Stadia track?

As Coxsy said ,both tracks less than an hour away from Te Aroha ,I find it easier doing Thompsons from Katikati back through to Te Aroha as we have people in Te Aroha where we can clean out Radiators etc (and yes you will need to ) Waitawheta in the dry would be at least a grade 5 .in the wet who knows ? its not uncommon for groups of trucks to spend 2 days plus in there ,Wayne (mudzilla) and i normally get around in around 5-6 hours but thats going for it ..Steve
