Thats a much better price! Yep you'll have to enlarge the valve hole, but its worth it for the results. Tractor tubes are much much better than car ones

Re: what tubes?
I have run Tractor tubes for years and as well as the fact they are heavy rubber, the other big advantage is you can take the valve out to let the tyres down in seconds. As soon as they look flat put the valve back in.

Re: what tubes?
hmmm im considering going bead locks without tubes. i keep finding i am spinning up the tyre on the rim and its hurting the tubes. i let my tyres down to 10psi and lower sometimes.

Re: what tubes?
I have been running tractor tubes for about ten years in both my sets of offroad tyres. The one thing I learned was the need to drill the new hole vertically next to the centre.
The first set I had I put the new hole in the same place as the original and because they are made of brass I kept breaking them off on roots and stones.
Original Position

Correct position

Welded hole

Never had any trouble with the tubes
Cheers Richard

Nah thats just an ordinary car valve, you want the "Heavy Duty Tyre Tube with TR218A Valve" It has a small nut that clamps the valve onto the rim, making it much stronger, and it has a large removable brass valve housing that has the valve core inside it.

Re: what tubes?
Like bulletproof says you want to redrill the valve holes for tractor tubes into the centre of the rim so there tucked away inside the rim where they cant get damaged and throw away the plastic locknuts and put some brass ones on, the problem you do find with the valve stem in the centre of the rim is the freewheeling hubs and fully floating rear hubs (if you've got them) obstruct access to the valve stems to pump the tyres up and get pressure gagues onto them, I've usually got to back off the locknut and bend the stem over to access them. The tractor tubes need a 16mm hole instead of the standard 12mm

Re: what tubes?
i got away with a 15mm hole
