Hi Nick...I had a minor overheaing problem the other week & have come up with a cunning plan to get a bit more cooling using my AirCon fan.

When you turn on your AC current goes to a the AC pump & pulls in the clutches & makes the pump pump....it also automatically turns on the electric fan.
Im going to to insert a switch before the AC pump so i can disconnect the AC pump when needed so when i turn on the AC all that happens is the fan goes on giving me more cooling....not done it yet but tested it last week & seems to go good.

yeah the best part was the part the council ahve removed, but its still enjoyable drive up worsleys... im keen to head up there on sat if no one else mentions or shows any intrest in any other places. Well my truck doesnt have electric fans lol all my fans run off pressure. it has some special name haha but yeah, the main fan wasnt spinning when it needed to be... so that was 1 cause of it, but also had cr*p in the radiator, and the factory clamps had given up abit of tension so also my radiator was leaking once it heated up alittle. Also my temp gauge is useless, doesnt pick up my engine is over heating till its over heated. But i can tell way before it by my leg, as i have no carpet my transmission gets extremely hot, and burns my leg haha, owell im keen for worsleys if nothing else comes up

I'll be keen if I can get some tractor valves by then and also weld up standard valve holes. Try to get it done for the weekend. I think I'll let you lead next time, and you can have a swim with your truck. Keen on Worsleys but no rivers!!!

Sounds like a boring trip then, you should come up with us Last time i was up there Jafa flopped his truck twice 8)  I've done mine once up there. Its only as hard as you want to make it. Its an easy drive if you follow the track but it gets to be real fun when you try and drive across the track 8)

For those of you who haven't been up before, after this rain i would reccomend that mud tyres and hooks would be a bare minimum. The trip should be ok just make sure you don't get to far our of your league, plenty of well setup experianced guys have done damage and rolled etc up there. Just go as far as you feel comfortable and you'll be fine and don't fall into the trap of following someone who is better set up than you are and expecting to drive the same lines, or having someone with a big truck but bugger all experiance tell you what you(or your truck) can and can't do after all its your life and you that pays the damage bills.

I find it hard to beleive you have been up there that many times and don't see it fear to be advertising your huge level of experiance to make others trust you and come on your trip when your also pretty new to the game..
As per your sig, do you really have a 140mm body lift??
Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level then beat you with experiance!

With todays and tomorows rain it will not be an easy trip and you will struggle for grip, in wet conditions falling into ruts can cause panel damage, break bead's on tyres giving you a flat. I have done it in the dry it wasn't too bad but you do have to be careful in the wet.

If you don't have a couple of well setup truck's with good recovery gear it could take a while to get unstuck and back down, take a shovel :D

Hi to all wishing to participate on this trip up Worsleys. I am now wearing my southern zone PRO; Kiwi4X4 hat and ask that because of the recent rain that you take care of yourselves and care of the Track, the track is very fragile after rain and is not very forgiving on vehicles, there are two NZPO cables and two alkathene hoses that have become unearthed in places please be weary of these and keep off them where possible. I went up to the top yesterday and there has been track maintenance done in places, the 100mts before the bowl area has had the ruts filled in and the 100mts before the iron gate posts and to the top of the hill have been graded , 2WD. Take care and keep safe, after my trip up my advice is , If it keeps raining don't go because you will get damage, I sustain irreparable damage in the dry  ,

I BLEW A STRAP ON ONE OF MY JANDLES AND THE DOG HURT IT'S PAW, we both came down limping,
