The saginaw steering box from the XJ bolts straight into the TJ. Done one 12 months ago.

[edit] sorry, read "power steering pump" as "steering box"... ignore the above.

According to PSC (on Quadratec website: http://www.quadratec.com/products/56112_2004.htm) power steering pump is the same for 97-04 Jeep Wrangler TJ and 97-01 Jeep Cherokee XJ with 4.0L Engine. Don't look at that photo because that shows the remote reservoir pump (4 cylinder TJs).

There are a lot of different pumps for XJ all through the years. A photo might help.

Hey mate, my pump has already gone, but I think mine (93 XJ) and yours looks the same, will have to confirm on where the lines go in/out in the weekend (for future reference). As for the steering box... I still have the steering box, shes got a bit of play in the straight line position, worse than our 1,200,000km Volvo yard truck at work lol. Whether this play is normal or not I don't know, she passed her last WOF no worries, no leaks from the box at all, you can have it for 40 bux.
Let me know if you want it before the w/e, as I'm storing her down near Cambridge, am going down on Saturday to rob some parts off it then, so can grab the box too. Cheers.

I'll take it for a spare thanks, usually there's a straight line adjustment which takes care of the play. If it doesn't leak, its better than the one i have now, cheers. Gordon
