and all Riks stuff lying about on the floor...

Yeah, the shed is big, but I only have a 1/4 of it... and not for too much longer it seems... looks like the land the shed is on is up for subdivision... so I might be moving to a smaller shed, closer to home... actually, at home :) Priced one today, $4.2k for a 2-bay implement shed kitset... no doors... might have a look at some others since the council regs say the posts have to be 1.1m deep... I can dig about 300mm and hit the water table

Still, at least I have a 2JZ to play with... just gotta find a space that will fit... would make a singing powerplant for a Bighorn :)

Steve

PS: If the seats don't sell, they stay right where they are! :P

Bought my 4-bay shed for 17 bales of silage and moved it to my place from the neighbours :) . The council here made me dig footings 1.5m deep, therefore I had 3ft of water in the bottom when pouring the concrete. Which according to my engineer brother isn't a problem, afterall they build bridge piles like that.

sorry,I know its not a shed thread

I'm currently fitting one to a LN130... well, my mate helping me :P
Will post it on this forum when it is all done. At the moment, just finished the 80mm bodylift. Just got a V6 surf fuel tank. Need to move the gearbox higher and soon engine in. Can't wait..

What are you using for a bellhousing? and an 80mm body lift? why-oh-why are you doing that? bling-bling factor?

Is this going to be a street truck or an offroader? I think theres a thread with your name on it here somewhere from when you first joined... what tyres are you going to run?

Yeah I just joined this forum and hopefully will get to know the 4x4 scene in NZ better. I'm from Malaysia and love 4x4 since I was kid :P .. learn to drive in 4x4 and in 4x4 condition  (due to can't drive on private tar road as I'm only 13 that time) after a while, when i can drive on normal straight tar road, i have trouble to drive in a straight line

anyway back to the Surf, yeah 80mm is due to 50% bling factor and 50% due to clear the sump( steering etc) on the 2JZGE motor I want to keep the 4x4. It will be mainly street truck and as my tow vehicle to tow a race car to the track. Tow bar will stay at same height with just body lift. That doesn't mean no offroading action  But tyres will be a problem as I just brought some 2nd hand 15x8 with good tread 275/70/15, so they are not offroad tyres.

I want something bigger tyres but i don't think they will handle well when going 100km/h.. or more  ...when it got the 2JZGE
Any advise on tyres will be great.

Will keep standard springs at the moment as it already have got a good height now. For the bellhousing, I'm using a custom adapter plate that my mate design&made to fit on the factory Surf manual gearbox. He made the similar adapter plate for 1JZ/2JZ engine to W series gearbox and G series (2wd hilux). Once mine is all good, if there is demand, I can get him to make more.

Also have to lengthen the steering knuckles for the lift and is all done now.

this is going to live in the Surf..
