Vitara - carb help please....

Post by Apm83 »

Having issues with running far too rich.
Looked up the manual in my mechanics workshop and it said that the mixture screw is sealed on the vitaras - ie no adjustment.
Is this correct? Have I no simple diy tuning options?

cheers

The mixture screw should only control the idle mixture, you might have restricted air flow or the choke stuck on if its running too rich?

Hmmm you might have a point there, regarding choke.... the auto choke has given issues in the past.
Anyone got a decent schematic for the vitara carb - I've searched the www with no luck.

All I need to do is lean it up a little.....
