5 37x13.5x15 Mickey Thompson Baja claws and Beadlocks

Post by doddzee »

Got my tyres up for sale as the truck has been sold.

5 37x13.5x15 Mickey Thompson Baja claws and 15x8 Beadlocks

1 tyre and rim is brand new and the others have traveled less than 1000k mainly offroad. Have a few cuts on the tread but nothing much, will get some pics up soon.

$2400ono

They fit my 91 80 Series, not sure if the newer models have larger calipers requiring 16s.

Just checking if you smoothed off the steelwork inside these Howie rims before assembling them up? Others I know of have not and got punctures endlessly until they've stripped them down and sanded them smooth. I've seen it first hand on trips with brand new beadlock rims too so its not a rumour. Are they running tractor tubes with quick air dump capability? cheers, Gordon

They are tubless so you wont have any problems with tubes chafing, they have never had a puncture. They do not have dump valves but you can get tubless dump valves to suit the larger hole.

Its good value you're asking in most financial years Doddzee and I'd jump at it normally, but right now it is a shipload of coin for something I may never use, but they would be nice to have. They come under the heading of "luxury goods" and, like it or not, those are usually only given away in tight times.

If you were a brave man, and I bet you are, you'd drop your reserve to $1650 or so just to see what happened? You had another bidder last time, he may still be waiting to see what you do. They're no good to me without the wheels by the way. cheers.

Luxurary? Big tyres are a must for all 4wds :D

Maybe the reserve is that low? Who is to know? I cant see that making a difference to weather im going to get waht im after. Im not one to pull and auction if they do not reach what i would like for them. Im in no hurry to sell but may play with the auction a little if they dont move in within the next couple of weeks.

At least you know I put my money where my mouth is D, nothing worse than being told "you're too dear" by some prick with no intention of buying, and who wouldn't have the cash to make good anyway. As time moves on sights drop, or so they say, anyway. good luck.

I reckon thats a bloddy good price for them. Considering how much they would cost new and the fact you get 5. Hold out someone will take them at that price.

You blokes commenting about someone else's goods and money are absolutely right and I'm totally wrong. Here's me being silly enough to point out that a lower reserve might stimulate some excitement and bidding on his auction when you quite rightly say its all about what they might cost if they were new and what you'd do if you had the coin.

I'd be keen on the rims if you are willing to sell separately.
