to check them have a look on the ext for a stamped date eg 09 05 .. then add 5 years to that date ,if your over REPLACE OR RECHARGE them asap, just checking the guage is showing "geen" dosnt mean it will still work 100% effectively when/if your $15k truck (or 300k + house) starts smoking

reason Im reminding people (apart from the fact that I work in the fire security industry ) is the fact that I saw the "remains" of a situation where the fire ext was waaaay (like manafactured 1984) out of test and when needed to put out a small electrical fire at a minor crash scene did nothing more than pi$$ the fire off end result was the car burned out rather than containing the blaze to a small section of the engine bay
