Supra surf rev counter

Post by Smurf »

So I cheated and bought a surf that has the supra conversion and Falcon rear springs. Just a bit of tidying to do, finish a few bits off properly and go get certed. Does anyone know if it is possible to hook up the original rev counter to run off the supra motor. Surf was originally petrol so I'm hoping there is an easy way.

Yep its real easy as I did that with mine... but I can't remember exactly what I did.. but the dash has a one wire connection to the tacho and the Supra has the small black wire from the coil to ecu ( labeled ig ).. pretty sure you only need to bring these to together

Not if its a diesel one... works with the petrol tacho (I have a spare here... although I think Conan might have bought it...)

Diesel one has a d/a converter and works on pulse counting from the diesel pump from memory...

I could be wrong tho :)
