Hi Ben when you get past the tank traps and are at the T juntion if you go left and head down to the waterfall there is a big slip ,there are a couple of logs that if youve got big gonads you might get across but with a few guys on spades it could be made passable ,if you turn right you can follow the track a fare way and play in the side tracks but to get to the loop there is a big tree across the track ,nothing that a couple of chain saws wont sort ,when i go down over Easter ill take a couple of saws and sort that out ..Steve

More Stadia porn to wet appetites from the Auck 4wd club trip at Waitangi weekend. And yes they managed to get the Prado (33"? tyres otherwise stock) to the waterfall and out again with a lot of towing etc. Wouldn't recommend a shiny all the way though - I chickened out and abandoned the Heep at the spot with the deep V.

Thanks for the photos Grant! It was a good day out, (even though the "good" part of stadia has been flattened). It was probably a smart move leaving the Jeep where you did - I hear the guys in the Pajero suffered a bit of panel damage.

 You're right Jeremy - Pajero not Prado. A good sized tree attacked them when going up the rutted bypass before the top. Front left hand side of bumper stoved in, nothing major. Agree - great day out. Only my 2nd 4wd trip and it has hooked me good.

Hi Mate Yep Stadia on the 10th (Friday) and either Waitawheta or through Thompsons on Sat 11th we could decide which track to do on the Friday after Stadia (see how the trucks are holding up) You guys can vote on which now or leave it till then i dont mind either way as far as the tracks goes Thompsons would be the easier of the two...Steve

Hey guys,

At this point i don't think i'll be bringing the lux out due to not being in a financial position to do so as i'm saaaaving....
So....obviously trailed trucks are allowed?! So if i can suss it i'll chuck my winch on my escudo and bring that (its a bit more set up than last time you guys saw it)

If i can't is there any spare seats going? If so I don't mind being the winch bitch.

Cheers, Dan

Anyone planning on leaving a tow vehical at stadia be warned that a mate of mine lost a fully set up safari from there,we can park them up the track behind the locked gate but its your call, we have plenty of secure parking 5mins away from Thompsons and i have never had a problem at Waitawhita ..Steve

Greg ill see you this weekend theres a good chance my co drivers seat will be empty..

I think the best idea is to come and do the Stadia track which is by far the easier of them and make the call after that ,if muzilla(wayne) or i dont think your truck can get through without a lot of grief and damage we;ll let you know .Alot depends on the weather leading up to it as both Waitawheta and Thompsons can be real hard work after a bit of rain ..
