but unless its had the diffs and axles done it can sound as horny as it likes, cause it will shit front right axles and quite possibly tear out both diffs.
Part of the reason the Yanks get the shits on the TJ over there is due to the 35 rear diff and weaker axles (we have the dana 44 in the rear... lucky us), they pop em regularly with the 4l I6, the XJ has the same diffs and axles... a Lexie will chew em up faster than an 18 y/o in a whorehouse.

Then again, if its just for cruising around the bitumen, then no probs......

But yes, there quite possibly could be self-touching......

I'd out my standard XJ and DD that in a heartbeat - if I wasn't currently "between contracts" :( Ah well - I bought the XJ in the first place because of the bomb-proof straight 6.

I think I may have seen in last weekend in the Wairarapa - there can't be too many green XJs around that look like that.

bb402c, Of course there are after market parts... hence the initial comment about the diffs and axles, maybe you missed that part.. Point is that the my current TJ has broken 3 stock front right axles, with the I6, and the Cherokee before it did one too. The lexus will eat stock axles. Whats the point of having all that grunt if the drivetrain cant handle it?

Maybe its cause im such a new Jeeper that I break them. That MUST be it.

I prefer to leave the stock axles in, as id rather break an axle than strip a crown wheel. Much easier to fix.

I wasnt dissing the guy, or the vehicle, just making a statement. As my first post said, a couple of years ago i would have been keen. I'd still be keen if i didnt have a truck now that I simply cant afford to sell.

Nothing wrong with a Ferrari tune up, it burns out all the carbon build up inside the engine..

I would love to put the V8 out of Grand Cherokee in my TJ with a properly tuned muffler.
