Help on Nissan Auto
Re: Help on Nissan Auto
Pretty much an auto shop shoul dbe able to get it for you. Are you doing this to upgrade or do you have a problem?
They make a bit of a difference but it isn't huge and there are other options that make a huge difference but cost more.

Nissan Terrano coilovers, turboed VH45, Safari axles, and some other stuff.

Thanks for your reply, Darinz,
I just wonder to upgrade so it eliminating the soft shifting. And it would not be a huge cost on me.
So which Auto shop could be one you mentioned? I asked three of them and they all did not reply or could not do it.
What are the other options you mensioned for example?
Cheers.

My 2.8 GU auto is crap, get it on a steepish hill in 4L and it won't reverse

Re: Help on Nissan Auto
I would have thought that a shift kit is such a common mod that anyone would be able to do it. I'm Whangarei so no help on Auckland shops. The shift kit makes a huge difference when towing and a good synthetic (or semi-synthetic) fluid is also a good idea.
I assume from the auto that you have a Safari (or a twin turbo 300zx or a Q45 Infinitietc) and if so then I'm running the same shift kit in my Wife's wagon 96 4.2 turbo and I'm running the same auto in my winch truck. But that has over 500hp going through it so don't let anyone tell you it is a weak auto!

Thanks, mate, I know it is a good auto, good in terms of the reliability. But the standard setting come with a sluggish setting on gear changes and it **** me off.
That's why I think a shift kit is going to help. So what is the kit you have fitted on? Brand? Model?
And one question if you can help, I quoted exact words from a mate in australia with one thing I dont understand, why he asked me to get the info for RE4R03A auto(which is my one) but is comes with part number of RE4R01A? are they the same? or how similar they are?
Many thanks.
Re: Help on Nissan Auto
As I understood it, the 3A us just a heavy duty version of th 1A, but the kit fits both, as the kits are designed to cover a number of different transimissions, as the one you mention is meant to fit the RE4R01A & RL4RO1A, but also suited the RE4R03A and JR403 Diesel
Re: Help on Nissan Auto
Yes, thats exactly what I am lookin for. Do you have any idea about that?
