Bob, theyre for a 4 inch lift, but oddly enough have more down-travel than the original ones with the kit, and slightly more up-travel too.

Greg (the Jeep parts supplier from hell) had them for his lift kit, which is in the process of going in. But because he's doing diff regears too he wont need them for a while. So he kindly supplied me his, and he'll get more when he needs them.

Now there's service!!!!

Sadam....... im just waiting to hear the "SPROOOING" when the springs fall out!

I've got a set of 31/10.5/15s on 6 inch wide rims for my hilux to save my Mudzillas. Only done one trip on them but had no dramas.

had a good day at woodhill forest jeep park, first time out there, bloody good, didnt see noone all day, plenty a difficulty options, did a few of the XXXX tracks, which is well equipped club trucks only, only used the old mans winch once throughout the whole day, truck went mint, some a them bog holes are deep, up tp the headilghts, most of the park pretty dry tho, was good seeing how the lux pulled out the old mans Patrol, and a disco stuck up to its sills with ease, i hadnt done too much recoverys till today, wasnt sure how the lighter lux would go pulling a bogged down patrol, every1 happy tho, and ive decided an engine conversion is last on the list, the 3y just keep going, its all about traction and reliability aint it :D

Ended up playing around with a/c comp to get it going for onboard air, didnt realise at some stage the bloody belt had let go.One new belt later as Im adjusting the tension on pulley ,the bolt snapped :x one bastard of a mission to pull all that apart and put back together, faaaaarrrrk all room and you need 4 hands the size of a 5yr old to do it.Got that sorted and it wouldnt engage, traced it to a short between the relay/fuse thingy and comp.Got that sorted and we had lift off.Found inlet and outlet pipes, so now all I need is the rest of the bits and pieces,so who and where would i go to get said bits and pieces?

went out to ngaroma for aclub working bee, had 2 bull dozers out there for weekend opening up old tracks and cleaning up some of the others, there is now shit loads of drivable tracks and you dont need to go on gravel at all between them, also filled a heap more pot holes on the road, we will put up a map once we have done the gps thing so you know where you are and where the camp is and all the tracks, will also put where there is cell phone coverage and where a chopper can land in case any one has a bad accident, now we just need some rain and it will be good,

Headed on out to woodhill on sunday in my Terrano to try out the new tyres and suspension lift with T-Boon and some others. Had a mean day until my left front tyre popped off the rim (found out today it had a faulty valve, running extreme low pressure haha!). T-Boon, you forgot to mention who pulled you out  .

Anyway great day had!

Spent 5hrs looking into the various electrical issues on my Series 2a. Managed to fix nothing :(

Couldn't find anything in the wiring which would cause the axillary lights not to function as expected. Some go when they should, some go when they shouldn't, some don't go when they should ... fark if I know how she got the last WOF. Several of those lights were on the failed list ...

Noticed the left front head light wiring loom has prior work. What a mission to replace the broken bulb. Still can't get it to glow. Tired with a direct battery feed, got one element to shine but not the other. This is a brand new replacement sealed bulb. Could it be because I used your typical three strand 240volt cable as the direct battery feed and therefore the other element didn't get sufficient current to glow?
